And then there were 50.
California Attorney General Xavier Becerra launched another lawsuit against President Donald Trumps administration on Monday, raising the states legal battles with the White House to more than four dozen filings...
Mondays lawsuit builds on a Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services ruling from earlier this month that removed a states authority to pay third parties for Medicaid provider costs, including health insurance, skills training and employee benefits.
During a press conference to announce the new filing, Becerra said the latest lawsuit aims to preserve $6.5 billion in federal funding that helps support in-home services to more than half a million Californians. The services include bathing, dressing, cooking, feeding, administering medication and offering transportation services to residents who need the workers help.
The department said the federal rule interferes with states ability to deduct payments for worker benefits obtained through collective bargaining, like healthcare coverage or voluntary union dues, from homecare workers paychecks.

Can't the govt. counter-sue California especially if these are bogus cases and the idea they sued 50 times it would be considered frivolous, no?
IIRC, each illegal effectively gets $3500+ per mo
I wonder how much these 100 lawsuits have cost CA’s taxpayers...
50, rather. And counting most likely.
good question and one I thought about when the author used the verbiage, ‘residents’.
In Communist California, there is an endless quest for other people's money. To pay for everything that is free, the socialists look to increase taxes, and as much federal and state money they can gather or confiscate.
When will they run out of other people's money?
Becerra is a good little Marxist. He and his ilk are guilty of taking a beautiful state and turning it into a dump. Their “ policies” are not sustainable. The question is at what point does it happen? The damage may be too great to fix. My Gramma used to say that it’s always darkest before dawn. I pray that I live to see the day when this nightmare ends. I never thought that we’d have a President like Trump so anything is possible.
Theyre using federal funds the state collected that was supposedly owed to them.
This suit is necessary so Californians can live in dignity. Like in SanFran, where people have to step over large piles of poo.
A person can be penalized for filing frivolous lawsuits, but what about a state?
Do they have a money tree?
The Federal Government has LOTS more money than California.
