WHICH world economy is most vulnerable to such weapons, huh..?
I’ll bet lots of DC is hardened against EMP like that.
How about the rest of America?
They don’t care about us.

I think we developed these in a joint project with the Israelis?

These were featured in Popular Science a long time ago. Truly.
You can search for all sorts of articles on directed and local-effect EMP, tactical weapons

Better be quick on the trigger. Those shore to ship missiles that line the Persian Gulf have a flight time to target of less than 30 seconds. Those young sailors in the Gulf are at grave risk if somehow the crazy mullahs start shooting.

We should fire those missiles at Iran and fry their telecommunications, which would destroy the regime’s command and control over the country.
Revolution would quickly follow, marked by lamp posts decorated with mullahs & R.G.’s all across the country.

The Israelis do have miniature versions of such a weapon, used for more local blackouts of targets.

Barbara Hale (Della Street) was one classy lady. In real life she married in 1946 and stayed married to the same man until he died in 1992. Her character was too good for Perry, who was a workaholic. He did like to have her dine on steak, at least. (the character Perry Mason, is not to be confused with the private life of actor Raymond Burr).
I hadn't known that Miss Hale was on commercials for the Amana Radarange. That's good to know.

They already know.
When they heard “Four B-52s deploy to ME” they knew what it was, and it was confirmed by Senator Tom Cotton’s remarks yesterday about “No, there ain’t gonna be any long war, we only need to hit them once”.
Then this comes out today. For a reason.

Anything underground is OK.
Anything protected by Faraday cages/grounding is OK.
And, RANGE is a big issue. 1-200 meters is likely.
