yes, conservative Coalition won the election, but the excellent Tony Abbott, globull warming sceptic lost, due to massive NGO campaign against him. it would be great if the new Govt appointed him Ambassador to the US.
Not impossible, but he'd prefer to be High Commissioner to the United Kingdom :)
