The last time I saw my old boss Conrad Black was a week ago. It was a very Conradian occasion: We ended up keeping a visiting prince (not from the House of Windsor, as it happens) waiting in the lobby, and by the time we parted on the doorstep the conversation had worked its way round to Doris Day, then still among us. When Miss Day died a few days later, almost all the broadcast tributes played a snippet of:

After watching the likes of Comey, McCabe, Mueller and Weissman operate the last 2 years, I fully understand what he means.

It's the modern version of the rack and strappado, and for the same reasons.
Revamping the Judicial branch is the single most vital work Trump is doing. The citizenry lives in abject fear of the blackguards who comprise the justice system in the US.
The goal of the justice system is total annihilation of the accused. It is not justice. It is tyranny. Let it now be done to them just as they have done to others.
That’s one of the most important articles an American can read.
And once again President Trump has proved his greatness by granting Conrad Black a pardon.
Louis, you read my mind! When you reflect on what that $hitball Mueller and his corrupt, lawless little band did to Flynn and others, it is quite clear that there needs to be a complete overhaul of our Federal Prosecution “System!”

Steyn is correct to be appalled by the lack of Justice afforded by the US Legal system if you can’t pay the freight and do the time.
Then again, Congress’ abject abandonment of any restraint on the judicial system that results in confiscations of billions of dollars with absolutely no proof (only casual inference), it is unsurprising that one’s life is but a toy to unrestrained prosecutors.

His prose is better than Buckley's...Steyne maybe not have as big a vocabulary as WFB but he is certainly more cleverly biting, and I like that.
If America’s courtrooms are empty due to our indefensible legal system, how are our multitude of lawyers still able to make a living? And why don’t they work together to improve the system?
As I recall from my meagre study of judicial systems, it’s no fun having to sit around Pommeroy’s wine bar all day without a brief.
At least America’s lawyers should support Donald Trump who’s working to improve things. And why not a few lawyer-led protest rallies? Screaming “No Justice, No $500-an-Hour Legal Fees!” in front of America’s courthouses would at least bring attention to their plight.
