By now, the public is well aware of the Green New Deal proposed by freshman Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, D-N.Y. They have not responded well to calls for forced veganism and banning airplanes, let alone giving up the American way of life made possible by cheap energy.
But while Ocasio-Cortez has taken the brunt of the media focus, environmental groups have developed a new strategy to get their way: pass a type of Green New Deal state by state.

AOC PLANS:
-Making air transport illegal, building bridges to Europe and Hawaii
-Destroying and re-building EVERY structure in the USA using green tech
-Doing away with concrete as a construction input
-Saving money for socialized medicine via fewer funerals
-Eliminating beef-eating pets
Are they exempting the Air Force bases in NM?
As for the people of the state, they will have a chance to reverse their leaders in the next vote. If they don't, it's their own problem.
Let them live with their choices. Give them 1 year without cars, air travel, real food, high power bills, high taxes. Most companies will flee because of high carbon taxes....no cauliflower, no milk for their kids or cream for their coffee,.... they should not be allowed to bring it in; that would be defeating their cause.
Theyll have to build a wall to keep people in, but like crazy socialist/communist they refuse to let them go because they must have lots of money to make this work. Even then it wont work. They will be like Venezuela or California.
And the Indian reservations?
Bump
They’ll bulldoze all Trump’s buildings first ,wait will the owner of the buildings have to pay to rebuild the Green Building ?
I guess the State of NM decided that it would go for all those “green” jobs AOC promised. Should be interesting to watch.

Exactly right. They get the government they deserve.
That is their agenda.
The energy burden on families will require energy subsidies for them that will in turn require additional taxation to pay for it. Its a viscous circle.
AOC should be worried because it’s being sold as AOC’s Green New Deal ,LOL
I guess it would be extreme to suggest that politicians who sell out their oaths of office like this be hanged, but the thought does occur.
Will that be done through target practice?
Someone should explain to those green deal proponents that leeches and bleeding were common medical procedures until smarter people came along to show them the error of their ways.
The days of coexisting with these radicalized leftists cannot continue indefinitely. They will have to leave at some point.
A state absolutely should, constitutionally, have its own way; conservatives support this.
BUT no federal funding (start-up, maintenance, assistance or rescue) for states choice laws and regulations. Zero.
Of course the key words are “move to” not “achieve.” The commissars will still have their armored limos, state owned jets, etc to better serve “the people.” The lower classes will be stuck paying the bills. Having driven across New Mexico several times, I can't imagine how one gets around a state that is a few scattered urban islands surrounded by mostly desert with out having gas stations conveniently located.
When they find out renewable energy can’t support the present population they’ll want to lower it ,can you say Soylent Green ,LOL
****This law requires that New Mexico move to 100 percent carbon-free energy the same long-term goal as the Green New Deal.****
If that is all it does, express an aspirational goal of 100 percent carbon free energy, and not offer any time table or means to get there, then it is a big nothing. And even if it offers some inconsequential funding for green companies, that is also a big nothing, except for the taxpayer.
If in fact, it will change nothing, then the objection should be that it will change nothing, and not that it will bring on Armageddon. There is a danger of crying wolf in these cases.
