I hear you, and its not the traditional US population.
The upside is: they are legal! They come here, go to school, pay out-of-state tuition, pay for ESL classes, pay the extra meal plan, and frequently sign on for an advanced degree. The universities make bank on these kids. What are the Native Americans studying? These Indian kids are not pushing them out of the way, but the American kids are self selecting into dud careers. What idiots!
When the Indians go to work for a company who is processing their visa paperwork. They typically get paid 1/4 to 1/3 of the fully legal coworker. Companies stretch this processing out for 5 to 7 years. If the Indian employee leaves this company, he has to restart the visa paperwork all over again. Its indentured servitude, and you had better not complain about it! Big corporations love this arrangement! But the Indian guy sticks it out and keeps going to work every day, shuts his mouth, and pays his taxes. American kids should be this industrious, right? If you had a choice of hiring this guy or a millennial, who would you take?
Finally, they typically get married, buy a house, and have kids. They stress education, and their children do well in school typically - because they study, do their homework, prepare for tests, show up, and respect their teachers. Who knew?
Get educated, work hard, raise a family of hard-working, well educated, law abiding, taxpaying individuals. This is what typical American middle-class people used to do. I dont know where they all went to
Have you ever lived in or near an Indian community? By and large they are wonderful neighbors. Keep everything neat, clean, in repair and even though they have their own religion (Hindu) they are very respectful of Christians and Americans in general.
