Full title: Trey Gowdy slams 'wannabe senator' Adam Schiff for opposing declassification of Russia probe documents

Former Republican congressman Trey Gowdy slammed the media and Rep. Adam Schiff as “an overtly ambitious partisan wannabe senator from California” for protesting Attorney General Bill Barr’s move to declassify documents related to the probe of the Trump campaign.

Gowdy reacted during a Wednesday appearance on “Fox & Friends” to Schiff calling Barr’s move “un-American,” despite once calling on President Obama to declassify Russia-related documents because “Trump won't.”

“Here's the thing, Schiff is an overtly ambitious partisan wannabe senator from California. So your expectations should be exceedingly low for Adam Schiff,” Gowdy said.

"What I find amusing is the duplicity with which the D.C. media covers these events. Remember 2016 and 2017, the front page of almost every major newspaper was some leak of classified information,” he continued. “They didn't care about that. Now they're concerned that Bill Barr as he looks into the origins of this investigation may disseminate classified information.

“So Schiff, your expectations should be really low. The media, that is where you should be very disappointed in the duplicity you've seen over the last two years.”

Schiff accused Trump and Barr of being “un-American” for conspiring “to weaponize law enforcement and classified information against their political enemies.”

This came amid Barr’s probe into the origins of the Russia investigation, with Trump asking intelligence agencies to cooperate with the attorney general in the probe.

Interesting, you never hold accountable who is to blame for no indictments.

Not at all. It’s quite clear after Sessions recused that POTUS had very little control of the DOJ. Rosenstein’s biased scope memo is the basis of the Mueller Coup. That we are here today discussing is only because the GOP (Trey Gowdy included) did not support POTUS removing Rosestein and Mueller for illegal conflicts of interest.

Say what you want about Trump but he did not deserve to be investigated under color of law by Hillary’s lawyer for two years.

Not removing Mueller or Rosenstein was the absolute best recommendation Gowdy could have ever made! Granted, both are not friendly to the president but you don’t add fire where the press is already calling smoke. Had he fired them the President would have either been impeached or reelection chances squandered. Say what you will about the press but if they are good about one thing that is creating doubt. Palin knows full well what a press can do. They’ve made her unelectable.

Furthermore he found favorable for the president that there was no collusion. Yes he’s harping about potential obstruction but who cares! He’s in no power to do anything about it and Congress isn’t going to chance impeachment. They may gnash their teeth but trust me they don’t want a Clinton repeat.

No Trump did not deserve to be investigated under the color of law. I whole heartedly agree. Maybe since the new sheriff is in town we may see indictments but I’m not holding my breath. They can still indict all players and Hillary for violations of the espionage act. In fact those indictments should have come down within the first week Barr took on AG. The evidence is and has been overwhelming. This isn’t a case where “these things take time”. It’s been over 2 years and everyone knows the evidence. It’s a slam dunk case.

There are yes and no’s to your questions. However make no mistake, there was plenty in that report to possible warrant indictments but that would have been difficult. The only thing indictable from that committee was Hillary’s server Gowdy’s committee discovered. I encourage you to read this article. It is one of the better ones that details actual crimes that were committed. It also includes page numbers. I read a great deal of the report BUT I’d never have seen it through a law makers lens nor understood the language without an article like this showing me where the crimes were committed. The report does truly state these things

Schiff is positioning himself to run for Senate when Feinstein keels over and her seat opens up. She’s pretty ancient so it wont be a long wait.

Had the GOP closed ranks around POTUS the fire from the media would not have been effective. The facts are on Trump’s side (no collusion) and the Mueller Coup (18 angry Democrats, etc.) was a blatantly partisan attack on him. No other GOP POTUS would ever be subjected to such a biased investigation with the GOP in control of Congress and you know it.

No doubt Mrs. Papadopoulos, who miscarried her baby after an all day interrogation by Mueller’s goons, was happy that Mueller was given a free hand by the GOP to assault POTUS and his supporters.

The bottom line is none of these abusees of pwoer should have ever happened and you can thank the GOP for giving biparistan top cover to Mueller for it.
