EXCELLENT! Trumps choice for new Immigration chief is a hardliner on illegal immigration, strong advocate for crackdown on free handouts for illegal aliens
The Trump administration will name Ken Cuccinelli, the former GOP attorney general of Virginia, as director of the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services.
Daily Caller The former Virginia attorney general opposes birthright citizenship and wants to strip illegal immigrants of unemployment benefits. Cucinelli has also defended the Trump administrations immigration agenda in numerous media television appearances.
Washington Examiner reported that Cuccinelli has advocated for denying citizenship to American-born children of parents living in the U.S. illegally, limiting in-state tuition at public universities only to those who are citizens or legal residents, and allowing workers to file lawsuits when an employer knowingly hires someone living in the country illegally for taking a job from a law abiding competitor.
As Breitbart reported in 2018, Cuccinelli ranted that weve been being invaded for a long time so the border states clearly qualify here to utilize this power themselves, also that because [the states are] acting under war powers, theres no due process and you dont have to keep them, no catch-and-release, no nothing. You just point them back across the river and let them swim for it.
While he enjoys the support of the president and White House senior adviser Stephen Miller, Cuccinelli is adamantly opposed by SWAMP Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell. The Kentucky Republican has previously vowed to block his confirmation for any posts within administration.
I like how following the law makes one a hardliner...
Good! The only better option is Kobach from Kansas.

Bush League Republicans adamantly oppose anyone who sides with the citizens and the rule of law.
If we keep re-electing the same people who caused the mess, how are we ever going to fix it?
McConnell and Grahamnesty should both be facing primary challenges.
President Trump will rally for them. Sadly, he has never shown any interest in primarying any GOP.
He really does have to stop endorsing Swamp Creatures so that we can do our part to drain the swamp.
Re-electing the same people who caused the problem is not how to MAGA.
The Cooch as he is known, is not well like in the Va GOP because he was going to upset their applecarts.
Excellent.
I hope he is strong and delivers.
Cooch is an excellent choice.
RE: The Cooch as he is known, is not well like in the Va GOP because he was going to upset their applecarts.
Well, isn’t this very much like his new boss?
If they (the GOPe) hate him...then he’s alright with me.
He oughta bring back Bannon to target these primary selections.
Ken Cuccinelli is a pretty solid Conservative, across the board.
Immigration control has been one of his signature positions. Immigration has been instrumental in changing Virginia from a solidly Republican State into a swing State.
Yes... Excellent... But why did it take about 2-years to get to someone significant? (Not complaining...Just asking...)
“opposed by SWAMP Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell.”
“McConnell and Grahamnesty should both be facing primary challenges.”
****
Sure.
But did you realize how come all those rightwing fed judges for the circuit courts were being rammed thru the Senate quickly?
Graham and McConell. Especially Graham...
And dont tell me Trump told those RINO senators to take his picks LOL. You’d think those RINO clowns would listen to Trump? Pay attention. Graham and MccConell may be Deep state but the judges being nominated AND seated were ALL their idea.
Except for being solidly anti-Trump during the actual election.
Trump is a bigger man than I would be. I have exactly zero use for Anti-Trumpers.
To Mitch McConnell: out of the way, turtle boy!

A lot of principled Conservatives then supported more proven Conservative Republicans (like Ted Cruz, Rick Perry or Newt Gingrich) over Donald Trump, who had never been tested in public office. Donald Trump was a risky wild card. It was rational to have reservations. It is always a natural challenge to bring a political party back together after a primary.
President Trump has now been proven under fire. Principled Conservatives (Cuccinelli among them) have rallied to his support since the election. Cuccinelli has never been among those with a personal animus to Donald Trump.
Not voting for Trump was the risky move.
