The James Webb feud with Oliver North comes to mind!
Supposedly dates back to a Naval Academy boxing match, where North beat Webb. Webb never forgave him!
I know people like that and they happen to be fellow Appalachians like myself & Webb. Not uncommon where I grew up!
tongue in cheek here, but Brigade Championships are a big thing at USNA. Or were, at least.
Webb wrote a novel, A Sense of Honor, where their fight figures prominently.
