it became too dangerous, thanks to cell phones and, especially, texting.

In general I am not in favor of ONE MORE law or regulation to infringe on anybody's liberty. But I am forced to agree, the blood-chilling absent-minded stupidity I see on my daily commute caused by cell phones is terrifying. Vehicle moving forward at 45MPH and eyes down. The worst offenders are, not surprisingly, Millenial women.

I’ve seen some crazy stuff on my 150 mile round trip commute here in KY. A lot of STUPID one car crashes. Fact is, I consider a driver more dangerous if they are texting than a “drunk driver” that blows less than a .2.

And such an offense should be treated as such.

I saw a “crash compilation” video on youtube last week where a guy has a rear facing camera and is rear ended. As the car plows into the back of him you can see the woman driving has her cell phone placed horizontally, resting on the top of her steering wheel.

I’d say a $2,000 fine for a first offense should fix that if it is covered by the local TV news.
