Tariffs on imports from Mexico will not “solve” the immigration problem, just as building an effective wall will not “solve” the immigration problem.

Both the wall and tariffs simply redirect people’s thinking, and maybe, once their minds are out of thinking in certain channels, there might just be an intellectual breakthrough, that the United States cannot afford and cannot absorb the endless flow of uneducated, unskilled, functionally illiterate people now crossing our borders in a swarm approaching Biblical proportions, much like locusts descending upon the land.

“.....just as building an effective wall will not “solve” the immigration problem.”

Disagree! Building an unscalable wall absolutely will solve the illegal immigrant problem.
