IIRC, Peterson was regular police officer tasked to provide security at the school. He carried service weapon, with which I assume he had to qualify...it seems to follow that an armed police office on duty might have a dangerous situation requiring to use said weapon to stop the shooter, else he would have been issued a box of chalk to outline the bodies.
If a female in the same position and situation as Peterson did exactly the same thing, would she be charged with the same “crime” as he?.
