A resident of Northern Virginia, I’ve found the “wait until next year” hype of losing sports teams to be typical. In particular with football I’ve come to the conclusion that team owners reward the failure of players.
President Trump, AG Barr and some Cabinet members aside, too many elected officials, not to mention some GS/SES are like professional athletes, they expect their failure to be rewarded. They lack moral fibre.

That little Southern Fried F*cker needs to be tethered to a lamp post by means of a short rope around his “cracker” neck. Now, I expect all the Alabamians here to bolt out of their double-wides to defend him, but I wonder why? Sessions, single-handedly took more than two years of focused, citizen-friendly change away from President Trump. While I marvel at what he’s been able to accomplish despite Sessions and other RINOs 24/7 attacks on him, I think we would have been amazed at all the “other stuff” that Trump could have worked on, if he had not had to spend time defending himself of the “Sessions-induced” Mueller Investigation.
Please allow me to correct the statement. The House Republican voted on and passed articles of Impeachment. It was the Senate Republicans lead by Trent, I got a feather in my hat, Lott that did not convict.
I agree with you and think that is also the reason Mueller finally coughed up his farce of a report. If not for Barr he would have dragged that thing out all the way up to the election next year.
Not according to AG Barr’s interview with Laura Ingraham. He says Huber is doing exactly what he’s supposed to do...waiting for the IG report.

An insightful commenter at CTH noted that while Mueller’s witch hunt was underway, the IG was prevented from getting into to certain areas. Now that Mueller is gone, there is some catching up to do. I’m not sure I think that is the whole story, but it might be part of the delay. The hopeful message is that Barr is proceeding with something, rather than wait forever as the criminals planned it.
Barr, without waiting for the IG report, put Durham on the FISA stuff. Durham isn't waiting for the IG report to investigate.
Huber waited and now he is off the case.

I don’t think Barr considers Mueller to be his friend anymore. Barr seems to be the kind of guy who maintains friendships with amoral people who have no integrity. I’d bet in one of the meetings that Barr told Durham to go where the facts lead, and to not cut Mueller any slack. Barrr has got to be posies of at Mueller’s betrayal of his trust.

I'd much rather it's release delayed a month or two (or three), so long as it outs the truth and doesn't gloss over any of the Barry administrations unlawful activities. Then, the DOJ better be in indictment mode at maximum capacity.

Incorrect. The OIG Report on FISA abuse is delayed because Christopher Wray at the FBI is withholding documents and information. CIA gal is reportedly acting similarly at CIA.
Michael Horowitz doesn’t have the leverage to push it through but AG Barr does.
That’s what is slowing the process. But the OIG Report comes first then Declass documents.
