In a party-line 229-191 vote, House Democrats on Tuesday passed a civil enforcement resolution that Democrats say effectively holds Attorney General William Barr and former White House counsel Don McGahn in contempt of Congress — just a day after a key Democrat-led committee postponed its own contempt vote and said the Justice Department was cooperating with its investigation.

Malicious prosecution seems to fit, though they might have to wait ‘til they arrest them or something.
Who is making the case that the public will listen to? We have known this for months, years? It is the political scandal of the Century.
I remember when the cry from the rats and Obama was the congress is ineffectual and we need executive orders to get things done. These idiots for over 2 years have done nothing and should all be forced to resign
It’s the greatest political scandal in American political history. But after 50 years of demoralization and moral laxity American is a third world country with a residue of what was once the world’s greatest industrial and intellectual powerhouse.
It was party line. No Republicans crossed over, and no Democrats did, either.

From this point forward, Congressional votes of Contempt mean that the controlling party doesn’t like an administration official.
And soon, from THAT point forward, Congressional votes of Impeachment mean that the controlling party doesn’t like a President.
Nothing more. Like the cry of “racism”, overuse has diluted the meaning to nothingness.
The Democrats have the verdict they crave. Now they have to seek to support it, no matter how shakily.

I have held Congress in contempt for years.I worked as a DOE contractor for over 30 years. Aside from a couple of cabinet members no-one is more contemptible than congress.
I’ve asked this question many times but never got a satisfactory answer -— Eric Holder and Lois Lerner were held in contempt of Congress too. What punishment did they get?
Eric Holder held his position for as long as he wanted it, and Lois Lerner still has her fat six figure pension.
