California is much closer to Venezuela than many suspect. It’s why they are massively pushing for the popular vote, so they can be rescued by the rest of the country.

We learned in 2008 that Congress will NEVER say no to a crisis-motivated bailout. Were it a country California would have the sixth largest economy in the world. It’s collapse would put us into a depression. They truly do have us by the shorthairs.
