Probably somewhere around 40-50% of the Democrats believe and do whatever they are told. These are fanatical people that the Democrats have whipped into a diversity mob. At this point, the Democrats have a tiger by the tail. They can’t let go or it will consume them. They can only point it at other prey.
Even if Pelosi and Schiff wanted to, they couldn’t just go back to business as usual. What they have created in the two year Mueller theater operation would backfire and bring down their entire party. They have no choice but to keep it going. I see no way out for them. Indeed. Reminds me of the ancient allegory that goes back 1000’s of years, and exists in many cultures - very similar to Frankenstein story.
