New imagery released by the U.S. on Monday makes the strongest case yet that sectarian Iranian forces attacked at least one petrochemical tanker in the Gulf of Oman, a long-time naval analyst told USNI News on Monday.
Taken from a Navy MH-60R Seahawk, the new photographs show a similar scene as a grainy black and white video U.S. Central Command released on Thursday. In them, an Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps Navy fast attack craft come alongside the Japanese-owned petrochemical tanker M/V Kokuka Courageous and removed what CENTCOM said is a limpet mine.
“Limpet mines are attached to a vessel via magnets and/or nails and detonated by a timer,” read a statement from U.S. Central Command. “Following the attack, sailors from the Kokuka Couragous discovered a second, unexploded, limpet mine on their vessel and abandoned ship.”
After the crew left the ship, CENTCOM said a Gashti Class patrol boat approached the Kokuka Courageous and recovered the unexploded mine.
Additional detailed images shot from alongside Kokuka Courageous taken from the crew of USS Bainbridge (DDG-96), show a greenish-grey base attached to the hull, what CENTCOM says is the remains of the removed mine.

Seems a pretty large oversight that that rather extreme conflict of interest is not mentioned.
Making “the strongest case yet” is a propaganda statement. The case is as weak as it can be, accusations made on speculation alone, intent imputed by hostile parties being the basis for those accusations.
There aren’t many people left who are dumb enough not to be extremely skeptical.
This whole thing gets weirder and weirder.
If the Iranians were not involved, then why did they sneak up to the tanker to remove the unexploded mine, and then sneak away?
If you read the article, you will see a picture of the mine’s magnetic base.

The list of people who want to see our sons, daughter and dollars wasted, (both inside and outside our country), in another country is long.. I didn’t see the proff needed to commit those resources.

The imputation of intent is unsupported, that’s the problem.
I would honestly prefer the Japanese opinion here since they are the ones whose interests are most directly affected, and they are less conflicted, and they don’t have a recent history of manufacturing pretexts for war that don’t stand up under inspection but end up getting countless people killed anyway.
Are you absolutely certain they did that or do you believe everything you hear?

The Deep State Swamp sucking America into a conflict with Iran would greatly harm President Trump’s re-election chances. That very well may be the plan. That being said,Iran is playing a very dangerous game and this is not that p*ssy Obama that they are dealing with.
Of course Iran did it.
And it’s a rational act based on the fact we are choking their nation to death.
Their goal is world wide insistence on letting their oil flow freely to market and freedom to trade with other nations. They intend to achieve this by causing pain for the world through increased oil prices which hits every consumer everywhere.
The way the neocons intend to start another war is by forcing Iran to respond militarily. That’s the only option they have left. It’s either that or they will slowly suffocate to death.
But to suggest the CIA or some other deep state actor, even the Saudis (who’s position is precarious at best) planted these mines is ridiculous.
The Iranians did it. And it was a rational act.
Just one that is contrary to US interests.
