Why should we educate our enemies?
Do the opposite of what ever they advise and you will do well.
I guess we can only look for non-existent spies from
Russia and not the armies of Chinese spies right under
our noses.
Chinese in this country are very often spies for China. They are instructed, especially professors and students in the engineering and computer sciences fields, to sneak vital info to China. We should be monitoring these people a whole lot closer than we are.
Then there’s driving Miss DiFi.
I defy anyone to implement a policy that fixes the problem based on the "fuzziness" of the proposals mentioned here. It's easy to speak in platitudes, but giving concrete proposals isn't easy, as evidenced by their absence in this article. Bitching about something, from Capitalism to corporate espionage, means you have a better way of doing it. To you Snowflakes who think Socialism is the answer, please tell me why every attempt to implement it in the past 200+ years has failed. And don't give me that Norway-Sweden crap...neither are Socialist countries.
America First. I think we need to limit foreign nationals in general and leave more room for American citizens (of every race/ethnicity...but citizens nonetheless) at our universities and institutions.
If there ever was an example of a sympathetic article for espionage, this was it.
It is a fact of life that most if not all Chinese students and entrepreneurs who have family in China feed information to the Chinese government. All Chinese high level techies and professors with family in China are almost all effectively spies.
DOES ANYONE IN THEIR RIGHT MIND TRULY BELIEVE CHINA WOULD ALLOW THEIR WEALTHY CITIZENS TO LEAVE CHINA AND SET UP RESIDENCE IN THE UNITED STATES WITHOUT GETTING SOMETHING IN RETURN?
WAKE UP, AMERICA.
President Trump...
Get tough on China. For real. For three entire decades, every single person in America has been selling out our country to China.
Everyone.
It is high time, SOMEONE stood up for America.
Be that person. Please.
Wong way you mean?
Says a Vietnamese writer
Stop ALL PRC tourist visas - immediately . Spies
Sorry, Ng your dishonest racist story line is tiresome and does not work. I have heard the same garbage from tribalist Chinese nationals studying STEM here. Just as the US did not educate Russians during the days of the USSR who last time I looked are Caucasian they should restrict education and work visas of Chinese nationals simply because they are an enemy nation. Last time I looked Taiwan was Chinese and we do not restrict their visas here simply because their nation does not pose a threat and does not steal Western technology.
Taking any advice on international relations from a liberal news rag is the wrong way to conduct any international affairs.
Shove it, simpleton journalists.
They’re just collateral damage. Sucks to be them until their government shapes up.
Targeting Chinese students (entry level spies) and entrepreneurs (senior level spies) in the U.S. is the wrong an excellent way to battle Beijing
For a banker whose business model depends on trade with China, it would be understandable if Dominic Ng is nervous about President Trump's periodic threats to impose tariffs or sanctions on Chinese goods. . .During his 26 years at East West, he's built it from a $600 million-asset bank into a $36.3 billion-asset California powerhouse with a seat on the front lines of U.S.-China relations. For U.S. businesses that want to trade with China or Chinese companies looking to expand in the states, East West is often their first stop. . .We get mainstream customers because more of them are asking for that collaboration, that partnership, he said. They say to themselves, Who do I ask for an introduction to China? So they come to East West Bank. . . : Consistent Performer: How Dominic Ng built East West into a powerhouse
