Water treatment plants remove solids, pathogens, nitrogen, and phosphorus, not drug residue. However, the chemicals are highly diluted after being released into your reservoir or river.

I can now understand why the salmon industry is having so much trouble up here in Washington state. The fish are getting high and can’t, don’t want to, or can’t find their way, travel up the rivers to spawn or get caught. There is probably a large conglomeration of them right at the entry to the Columbia River right now just as stoned as clams.
