Russia would screw us over economically if it could, but the cold hard fact of the matter is that Russia has a minuscule economy. Many much smaller countries have economies that are larger that Russia's. Sometimes I think that producing new weapons of war is about the only thing that keeps Russia from a financial collapse. Russia is belicose $hit hole of a country.
Somewhere out on the web is a chart matching various countries economy sizes to the economy of our various states. If memory serves me correctly, I think Russia has an economy about the size of Michigan.
Russia’s a petro-state, with a GDP slightly less than New York State.
