Pet peeve alert! The Fourth of July is not a holiday, dagnabbit! Independence Day is.

I want an OLD FASHION one, like I watched on TV when I was a teen. The old Patriotic songs, skits, singers. Not this Pops crap that doesn’t stir your blood.
Only nice thing is watching the fire works now.
One of my annual rituals for the time around Independence Day is to watch the movie adaptation of “1776”. Sure it has errors but overall I think it SHINES for showing what the DECLARATION Signers had to be thinking and worrying about as they signed their death warrant should the British win the fight.
FYI: this Broadway Play / Musical premiered on stage in 1969, won 3 Tony Awards and ran for 1,217 performances. In 1972 it was adapted for the movie and most recently has been released (2015) in Blu-Ray 4k. There is a revival in work for the 2021 season, we’ll just have to see if it makes it!
You know even the shortsighted history informs us that in 2016 we AGAIN had an American Revolution of INDEPENDENCE via or VOTES.
That forces beyond our control and outside this country were on all fronts bleeding us dry. Time to level-set the situation.
Sleeper awaken. Historical opportunity for truth.
Let’s defend our true independence and true freedoms, even while under the yoke of the best country and government on earth.
