Thank goodness none of my children or their spouses are liberals. Only liberals in my family are distant relatives I only see at funerals. I have no clue how I would deal with close family being liberal.

Heh heh! My older daughter married a lib. That being said, they are now benefiting from capitalism. She is a SAH wife so they model the conservative family ironically!
He has an adopted bi racial brother, who, despite “white privilege” and being raised by a generous white couple, identifies as black and who is permanently on the plantation; seething with rage against Prez Trump. That influences SIL greatly unfortunately.
On the other hand, my younger son, who is also bi racial, is in the Airforce, married, both Republicans and are fans of Ben Shapiro.
We visit often being two hours away but daughter and SIL live in Massachussets (recent residents there)
