You should have pressed charges with the highest level of criminal authority that you could. Force the perp to hire an expensive attorney, go through the anguish of getting booked, detained and posting bail---even take the case to the minute before trial.
THEN you can drop the complaint if you don't want to see her in jail. But to just walk away from the attack and let the attacker go un-inconvenienced will only encourage more of the same two year old behavior

Earlier on, JJ talks about the incredible nonsense that illegals should get free health care, when elderly citizens are in effect hung out to dry after they get out of the hospital (and maybe get some rehab), but after that, face the financial destruction of long term care. I’m not saying the gov’t should get further involved with the latter, but what kind of insanity is it that these elderly citizens, most of whom have contributed to our country for several decades, in some or many ways, get less regard than illegals??!!
