Arizona Gov. Doug Ducey announced Tuesday he’s withdrawing all financial incentive dollars to have Nike Opens a New Window. open a manufacturing plant in the state after a report said the sneaker company pulled its “Betsy Ross Flag” shoes following Colin Kaepernick’s criticism.

Ducey slammed Nike in a series of tweets, saying he was disappointed by the company’s “terrible decision.” The Wall Street Journal Opens a New Window. reported Monday that Nike pulled its Air Max 1 USA, which featured a Betsy Ross flag, after the former NFL star reached out to the firm and said the 13-star flag created during the American Revolution was offensive and carried slavery connotations.

"Nike has chosen not to release the Air Max 1 Quick Strike Fourth of July as it featured an old version of the American flag," the company said in a statement to FOX Business. They did not directly address Ducey's tweets.

Every time I see someone buying Nike, I’m going to comment “isn’t Nike’s only worn by losers?”

They are so yesterday

No, Arizona is a hot place for business. We don’t need an AntiAmerican company here. They should move to China, they will find more like minded people there.

We don’t need any more liberals here.

Evidently, Kaepernick doesn’t realize that the War for Independence wasn’t about slavery. He’s just one of those ignorant people who thinks anything older than he is reminds everyone of salvery. Hint: It doesn’t.

Except Republican are against the tariff too. No winning for the American worker with the GOP. Why it is going extinct after Donald(AD).

The GOP is anti worker, anti manufacturing and anti everything except corporate profit.

My last pair of Nike’s are sweaty yard shoes, I wear them with no socks in the yard, they’ve gotten soaking wet, and let me tell you they still don’t smell as bad as Nike’s decision.

No, it’s not stupid. More and more companies are getting “woke” and punishing states, and unless a governor is willing to stand up to them, it’s not going to stop.

Look at Georgia, making a lot of money on location for filming, which Hollywood has now declared a pariah state because the Georgians voted for a governor and legislatures that put the brakes on abortion. I think Hollywood will give in, actually, if Georgia holds fast, because they need it more than it needs them. And Nike actually needs Arizona more than Arizona - which has a good workforce and can find other manufacturing companies - needs Nike. The company was making ALL of its shoes in China and is only attempting to establish a base here because of the threat of tariffs.

Yes, its a job loss, but giving them a foothold in your state to import their lunacy? Better long term move.

Lunacy? The construction jobs alone would be worth it. They make shoes for craps sake.

Again, the jobs are a gain, but if creates a foothold in your state for this anti American globalist nonsense in your state, its not worth it long term.

Once the plant is there, they will be pushing the left wing candidates and policies in AZ just like they have in WA...

I got no problem not helping a company that clearly does not support American values make themselves a foothold. They are still able to build their plant if they want, they just won’t get any tax breaks to do it.

anti manufacturing and anti everything except corporate profit.

There’d be no manufacturing w/o corporate profit.
How can they be against manufacturing and against
corporate profit at the same time?

Nothing else says ignorance like bending to Kaepernick while offending 3/4s of the Nation. And yes, I do believe there are significant numbers of Democrats who are fed up, too.
