I wouldn’t call it payback to send in boys who weren’t even born when Carter was POTUS to settle Jimmuh’s scores. There is not yet a sufficient casus belli. The time for settling past scores has passed, and one must deal with present realities, which are complex and involved.
If Trump can scare some sense into them with a few brash tweets, all power to him. It worked well with Kim, although that job’s still only part done.
