Should that misstep define 50 years of my record for fighting for civil rights, racial justice in this country? I hope not, I dont think so,Remember this when a Republican is found to have done something in their past.

It’s over for Joe. His staff knows it. He’ll find out later.

Expanding on his comments wasn’t a bad idea, but apologizing for them was. It makes him look leak weak and indecisive.

The White House hopeful maintained he had done the right thing by working across the aisle with people whose views he found repugnant, but apologized if he gave the impression he was praising the senators. Other than Kamala Harris and Biden himself, the only senators mentioned in the article were those of Herman Talmadge and James O. Eastland, both of whom were staunch, long-time Democrats.
I don't know what he could possibly mean by the phrase "working across the aisle."
Perhaps he means Bill Clinton helped him write his speech. That sounds like a Slick Willy type lie.

He’s been cashing govt. checks since the beginning of time but he’s going to REALLY fix it this time. Sure.

Don’t apologize and offend the progs. Apologize and offend the South. Someone who doesn’t have the sense not to get into something he then can’t get out of does not have the sense to run this country.

Hes a moron but he folded as predicted. Hes on the run now to oblivion. 3rd time running wont be the charm.

Once you start apologizing you are finished.
To: yesthatjallen
Bidn is toast if he keeps apologizing: once he starts apologizing, his opponents will never stop attacking him for his past, and he’ll end up doing nothing but apologizing all the time ...

( Why won't CNN call them Democrat Segregationists?)
To: yesthatjallen
And the dumb left-wing broad who was reporting the FOX Radio “news” at 9:00 PM Eastern time tonight said...
“In South Carolina today, Joe Biden apologized for REACHING ACROSS THE AISLE and working with segregationist senators...” (Capital letters mine).
By saying “reaching across the aisle,” the clear implication was that Biden was working with Republican senators.
Biden didn’t “reach across the aisle.” These southern senator segregationists were democrats, i.e., Biden’s own party.
Morons at FOX “News.”
