Getting information out that the establishment doe not want publicized is more difficult than it seems. Research what happened when Ronald Reagan tried to get traction on a major anti-terrorist campaign early in his first administration. One trick the DOD-CIA-DOS insiders did was to release demonstrably false and ridiculous disinformation to be used to make the administration (1) have to spend time clarifying data (2) give the press ammunition to use in the Reagan is a boob and a fool meme campaign (3) make the operation so time consuming and fraught with bad optics that the Reagan Administration just shut it down. Disgusting, yes and over the long haul (9-11) very destructive to the US. But the various interest groups inside the establishment and the rats were kept happy. Screw the average American is the ingrained attitude of the permanent government and the Wizards of Smart.
