Without having seen the e-mails it is hard to know exactly what they contained but it seems reasonable to infer that comments regarding the nature of the PAO’s offence or the way the Navy handled the case would cast the Admiral in a bad light social warrior wise.
So he didn't do anything wrong, but it was "immature", by someones definition?
I can guarantee that if General Patton was alive today, he would have been fired for these comments. They were "immature", you see.
"I don't give a f_ck for a man who is not always on his toes. But the drilling has made veterans of all you men. You are ready! A man has to be alert all the time if he expects to keep on breathing. If not, some German son-of-a-bitch will sneak up behind him and beat him to death with a sock full of sh_t....An army is a team. It lives, eats, sleeps, and fights as a team. This individual hero stuff is bullsh_t. The bilious bastards who write that stuff for the Saturday Evening Post don't know any more about real battle than they do about f_cking."
And who-what is the PAO?
Until one month ago, the Vice Chief of Naval Operations was Admiral William Moran, who was also appointed by Obama.
Does Trump ever replace any of Obama’s appointees?
Certainly not at the Department of Homeland Security.
DOJ and FBI run a close second for retained Obama appointees.
Curious about that myself. An admiral resigning for acting like Biden n BJ Clinton seems a bit much.
I didnt see any ucmj convictions either. Unless he was part of the reason our ships can’t navigate shipping lanes, during peacetime, without crashing.
Kara Hultgren.
Carey Lohrenz.
Paula Coughlin / Tailhook.
Anything sound familiar?
#metoo continues to take scalps.
He maintained contact with a former CNO staffer who was counseled for playing grabass with some females at the office party. Sounds like a thin beef — must be something more there, such as cleaning house of Obama holdovers.
Too bad. From everything I heard about him through fellow USNA alumni, he was a good one.
It sounds like he is being pilloried for either content in the emails that indicated he thought the office had been railroaded or that the punishment was unjust (my speculation) or...and if this is the case I have an issue with it...he is simply communicating with the punished officer.
I think it is the former and not the latter, but one can never tell.
“... allegations of misconduct from multiple women during and after a 2016 holiday party at the Pentagon.”
Well, at least they were WOMEN!
Forced out (retiring) because we don’t want a horny bastard as CNO.
