Without having seen the e-mails it is hard to know exactly what they contained but it seems reasonable to infer that comments regarding the nature of the PAO’s offence or the way the Navy handled the case would cast the Admiral in a bad light social warrior wise.

Servello was removed his position with the CNO after allegations of misconduct from multiple women during and after a 2016 holiday party at the Pentagon. The Navy investigated the allegations and found the allegations did not rise to the “level of criminal sexual harassment” but that the PAO “consistently failed to demonstrate the maturity or judgment that would be expected of an officer in his position,” according to a 2018 Pentagon Inspector General investigation.

So he didn't do anything wrong, but it was "immature", by someones definition?

I can guarantee that if General Patton was alive today, he would have been fired for these comments. They were "immature", you see.

The current Chief of Naval Operations - Admiral John Richardson - was appointed by Obama.

Until one month ago, the Vice Chief of Naval Operations was Admiral William Moran, who was also appointed by Obama.

Does Trump ever replace any of Obama’s appointees?

Certainly not at the Department of Homeland Security.

It sounds like he is being pilloried for either content in the emails that indicated he thought the office had been railroaded or that the punishment was unjust (my speculation) or...and if this is the case I have an issue with it...he is simply communicating with the punished officer.

I think it is the former and not the latter, but one can never tell.
