A massive trove of potentially explosive court documents involving convicted billionaire sex offender Jeffrey Epstein — which could reveal new allegations of abuse against “numerous prominent American politicians, powerful business executives, foreign presidents, a well‐known Prime Minister and other world leaders” — should be made public, a federal court has ruled.
The US Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit acknowledged that the 2,000 pages of documents — which are related to a defamation lawsuit filed by one of Epstein’s accusers — have the potential to “damage privacy and reputation” and reveal new allegations against powerful world leaders and others.
But that doesn’t mean they should stay sealed, the court said.
“Upon reviewing the summary judgment materials in connection with this appeal, we find that there is no countervailing privacy interest sufficient to justify their continued sealing,” the panel wrote in its decision.
Epstein — with the help of pal and British socialite Ghislane Maxwell — recruited young and underage girls for erotic massages and sex, authorities have said. He was hit with criminal charges in Florida but got off relatively easy: In 2008, he was sentenced to 18 months in prison on a state charge of soliciting an underage girl for sex and ended up serving 13 months.
Maxwell was not charged, but she was sued for defamation by Epstein accuser Virginia Giuffre for claiming the girl was lying.
The parties who filed to get documents from the defamation suit unsealed include prominent lawyer Alan Dershowitz, who himself has been accused of having sex with Giuffre. Dershowitz has long denied those allegations.
The Miami Herald, which has published a series of articles on Epstein, was among other parties that petitioned the court to have the materials released.

Personally, I can’t wait to see the list of people who’ve been involved with Epstein. Maybe, if we are lucky, they will be some of those in the Congress who’ve been messing with Trump. We can, however, rule out Nadler, because as fat as he is, he probably hasn’t seen his “little friend” for decades!
Maybe he paid someone to find “it”.
A rolodex listing of phone numbers is not evidence of anyhhing.
I have a feeling if it was not thought this could somehow harm Trump it would not be happening.

and he’s been pro-Trump for a year now. Makes me think, or at least hope, their both innocent. Especially with that lawyer stating in 2009 that of all the rich people, Trump was the only one that was helpful and forthcoming.
Either their names will be replaced by Trump’s or the evidence was destroyed within 3 minutes of his arrest.
The purpose of Bill and Hillary Clinton’s visits was not always for the sex. Epstein used his ‘Pedo Island’ to blackmail powerful people. Epstein created and managed the CLINTON FOUNDATION.

As nasty as it is, he is not the one that needs to see it.
Yeah, that particular lady proved herself a liar when she made specific accusations against Dershowitz, and he could prove he wasn’t where she claimed he was on those dates. Even Epstein’s own travel log from his plane backed up Dershowitz.
I believe she was working for Epstein but then “enhanced” her story to try to get a payday for herself and it backfired.
Well, he basically proved she was lying, but if the court documents are sealed, then he has this stain on his reputation following him around. If they are unsealed, he can point to them and show she lied.
They’re hoping to link Epstein with Pres. Trump.
IIRC hearing a small blurb to that effect a couple days ago.
That’s why this is all over the news.
Are we going to hear about Slick Willie flying to Epstein’s little ‘sex island’? Apparently numerous times.
