The solution to this is not hard. We do it all the time in Sport Air Racing. We don't pit 700 horsepower Lancairs against Cessna 172s - we have categories and classes.

Simply create new sport categories:

Men's sports
Women's sports
Men who think they are women sports
Women who think they are men sports

Let the competition begin!
