Hmmm, not sure that is true. The men’s World Cup gets huge worldwide audiences.
In terms of revenue it’s not even close.
What is missed here is treating the men’s & women’s WC’s as equal in terms of competitiveness. They’re not. I’m happy for the women and their success but seriously, many of the teams they play against are terrible. Women’s soccer is nowhere near as competitive globally. There’s a reason they had a 13-0 score against Thailand.
So comparing “wins” vs. the men’s team, as some basis to claim they’re “better” and “more deserving”, is just silly. Outside of the World Cup, who watches women’s soccer? The numbers don’t even show up on a scale against any men’s league anywhere in the world.
I wouldn’t expect a men’s team in some third rate league to make the same as men playing in a first rate league - regardless of respective wins & losses between them.

Wait until the men’s money is cut. That is if the World Cup changes their rules and puts all the money into one big pot.
