I really did read Obama took it out, I just can’t keep every link, in case I hsve to prove something.

So, who took it out?

Since it was there before, did he get permission from SCOTUS at the time to take it out?

The last time it was a regular census question was 1950, so you could say Ike took it out in 1960.

The fact is the question has been and is still being asked elsewhere.

From 1960 through 2000 the question was asked on the census long form which went to 1 in 6 households.

Starting in 1995 the Census Bureau began testing an ongoing survey ( the ACS) which goes which is conducted monthly and goes to 3M households each year. In 2005 the ACS was officially adopted and the old long form dropped. The ACS does ask about citizenship.

In short, the citizenship question has moved around but is still being asked.
