New Marine Commandant: There Will 'Definitely' Be More Coed Companies at Boot Camp
The Marine Corps will continue looking at ways for men and women to train together at both of its recruit depots, the service's new top general said, even though one of the bases is currently closed to women.
Men and women will "definitely" train in the same companies at Marine Corps Recruit Depot Parris Island in South Carolina, Commandant Gen. David Berger said this week. About 50 women recently graduated from a typically all-male training battalion there in March.
But hurdles remain when it comes to integrating training at the Marine Corps' all-male recruit depot in San Diego despite a congresswoman's call to make the base coed by 2028.

This is absolutely true. The ground combat parts US armed forces are drifting into a situation similar to the late 1940’s. What happened when the rubber met the road in the opening weeks of the Korean War was not pretty. Read This Kind of War by T.R. Fehrenback, the author who was a career US Army officer was in the Korean War and knew of what he wrote. This book was one of two, the other being ‘Street Without Joy’, that practically every Army officer either had read or was in his library in the mid 1960’s. It should still be so. After a lot of people are killed unnecessarily money will be thrown at the problem and there will be a crash drill to do quick fixes. The problems illuminated in the first weeks of the war remained in some form until well into the static phase of combat. Such things can't be made to go away by infusions of cash and some general a*s kicking.

Usually, the first thing a new Commandant does is make some change to the Uniform Regs.

Recruit platoons have nothing to do with each other, on a day to day basis. They might share classes, say, on the care and feeding of the M-16A4, but unlike high school, you don't get to choose your seat, with the dummys in the back of the room and the nerds up front.
A WM platoon might as well be on Hilton Head, across the river, for all the co-mingling involved. Platoons 101, 102, 103, and 104 are in the same recruit company, but exist on separate planets.

Rep. Jackie Speier, a California Democrat who chairs the House Armed Services Military Personnel subcommittee, tried to push the Marine Corps toward coed boot camp when she added an amendment to the 2020 defense authorization bill that would have required the service to stop separating male and female recruits.
The amendment didn't make it into the Republican-led Senate's version of the bill. Speier, who wanted to see men and women training together by 2025 at Parris Island and within eight years at San Diego, said doing so would make the military stronger.
The Army has already gone a long way down the road towards ‘degenderization’, as it now is being semi-officially called. The feminazis are determined to do the same thing with the Marines. Its a train that is hard to stop, look at the effort DJT had to engage in to end trannies in the military.

The Corps is playing a hustle. They can play stupid, and point to this double shuffle I've described as "Co-Ed Training."
Democrats have always believed that they are smarter than the military, and only thuggish goons would spend a career studying something so simple as mass killing. Witness how successful Stalin's politically reliable commissars were in stopping Hitler during the first year of Operation Weiss...
As for the Army, and bisexual training, recall this is the same bunch of goofs that graduated a rabid Communist from Hudson High, a couple of years ago. The Army always manages to be a little behind the curve at spoofing Congress.
This was tried during the Spanish Civil War, and it cost lives then. Lefties then, too.
