Don’t these first responders already have insurance? What do they need that they’re not getting?
They need to get their pensions over $500K per year.
This is an excellent question. Being employed by government, it seems highly unlikely they each didn't have health insurance already.
What, if anything, is that insurance taking care of?
If there is a gap, additional funds could be made for...say...another 10 years and then re-evaluate again at that time.
But full bore 100% payment from this specially created fund until the year 2090? Definitely sounds like a recipe for gov't wasteful spending.
