Also, the Dem side has too many contenders at present. The 'money' will hold back until the field clears. A couple more debates and the field should know who is getting the major support.

yep. that’s absolutely correct. the smart money doesn’t want to be wasted on a gaggle of losers ...

But these funds are going to the respective National Committees, not the candidates. From what I see from these totals, the RAT Party has a problem attracting loyal RATs to donate to it because, it no longer represents a philosophy to which most traditional DemoRATs can subscribe. Time will tell, but early fundraising can start telling the story.
