The idea is to let them attract as much negative attention to themselves as possible, brand the opposition with their words by forcing leadership to defend them against Trump. Then when everyone has taken a position, drop the evidence and ruin them publicly. This is basic Alinsky “freeze it/polarize it”. In Trump’s case he will have the truth on his side.

It also draws attention the the rampant fraud in the immigration system. Hopefully investigations continue down to the district level and the Somalis defrauding the state for day care to the tune of millions. Might have been hundreds of millions.
