Sixteen US Marines were arrested at Camp Pendleton in California on Thursday during battalion formation for alleged illegal activities ranging from human smuggling to drug-related offenses, according to the 1st Marine Division.
“Information gained from a previous human smuggling investigation precipitated the arrests,” a statement said.
“None of the Marines arrested or detained for questioning served in support of the Southwest Border Support mission,” it added.
Two Marines — Byron Darnell Law II and David Javier Salazar-Quintero — were arrested July 3 for allegedly transporting unauthorized immigrants as part of a smuggling operation.

....sad, indeed....It was on Tucker Carlson’s show a couple of nights back when he was discussing those scumbags in Noo Yawk City who were pouring water on a couple of NYPD officers... he opined that our society is truly unraveling...these Marines seem to exemplify this “unraveling”.....how shameful!! I may be just an “old fart” but I remember when becoming a United States Marine meant you were a cut above the rest of the herd...today..?? “The Few and the Proud”....? not so much.....

If they were involved in DRUG SMUGGLING they should be hanged by the neck until dead at the San Lewis Ray Gate and the Del Mar Gate (lots of traffic at those two).
As a retired Marine this pains me deeply.
I’m glad they chose to arrest them at morning formation. Make examples of them and, if found guilty, throw the book at them.
