If I was a White Supremacist looking to kill Hispanics I wouldn’t pick a Walmart. Too much chance to hit whites and blacks by mistake. There are plenty of markets that cater specifically to Hispanics and you could easily find one even if you didn’t know the area well.

People see what they want to see sometimes during high stress situations. Some actually go into a dream like state of shock where their mind plays all kinds of tricks.

Probably saw 4 men in black moving in area where shooter was and mistakingly assumed multiple people were shooting.

Another gentlemen interviewed said he say the shooter twice. Said he wore all black with a mask covering his face. You could see his eyes though, the man reported.
I find this interesting as the gentlemen had a good eye for detail in his reporting of the events, but did not say anything about “headphones” being on the shooter. Couple this with no mask and tan pants, and it seems this gentlemen saw someone else. Another shooter.
WalMart has surveillance cameras recording every move in every nook & cranny.
A whole friggin wall of monitors in a second floor observation area is manned by at least a dozen employees.
