"Yesterday the greatest question was decided which ever was debated in America;

and a greater perhaps never was, nor will be, decided among men.

A resolution was passed without one dissenting colony, that these United Colonies are,

and of right ought to be, free and independent States."

John Adams

The website will not allow me to donate.

It is defaulting my US address to “Non-US”, and it will not let me change it. Furthermore, United States is not one of the options on the list of countries.

Frustrating. I wonder if anyone else has had this problem.

Unidos is holding its Annual Seminar and Meeting here in downtown San Diego at the Convention Center. Formerly called La Raza, Unidos is trying to present a "new less radical front," but they're the same, if not more radical La Raza.

I'm relating this info to y'all because this 3-day annual meeting and seminar is private, members only with attendance limited to 5,000.

Well, wouldn't you know who managed to wrangle an invite to today's "Democrat Presidential Candidate Forum?" LOL.

I'm so sorry I don't have the nerve or guts to wear my MAGA cap, but I don't want to get killed and I don't want to get my new friend in trouble. (New neighbor who happens to be local bi-lingual reporter).

All I know right now, is that Kamala, Booker, Klobacher and a couple others are showing up. I'll report back. Takes place this afternoon, but I have to run my errands later this morning.

The “Non-US” button always appears on that form. It brings up a list of foreign countries for non-US donors. Please ignore it. Thanks

The Great State of Utah
***
"Utah is a state in the Western United States. It became the 45th state admitted to the Union on January 4, 1896. Utah is the 13th-most extensive, the 34th-most populous, and the 10th-least-densely populated of the 50 United States. Approximately 80% of Utah's 2,817,222 people live along the Wasatch Front, centering on Salt Lake City, leaving vast expanses of the state nearly uninhabited and making the population the sixth most urbanized in the U.S. The name "Utah" is derived from the name of the Ute tribe and means "people of the mountains" in the Ute language. Utah is bordered by Arizona on the south, Colorado on the east, Wyoming on the northeast, Idaho on the north and Nevada on the west. It also touches a corner of New Mexico.
Utah is the most religiously homogeneous state in the Union. It is home to the Salt Lake Temple, and approximately 60% of Utahns are reported to be members of LDS Church which greatly influences Utah culture and daily life.
The state is a center of transportation, information technology and research, government services, mining, and a major tourist destination for outdoor recreation. According to the U.S. Census Bureau's population estimates, Utah was the fastest-growing state in the United States as of 2008. St. George, Utah, was the fastest–growing metropolitan area in the United States from 2000 to 2005."

The Great State of New York
***
"New York is a state in the Northeastern region of the United States. New York is the 27th most extensive, the 3rd most populous, and the 7th most densely populated of the 50 United States. New York is bordered by New Jersey and Pennsylvania to the south, and by Connecticut, Massachusetts and Vermont to the east. The state has a maritime border with Rhode Island east of Long Island, as well as an international border with the Canadian provinces of Ontario to the west and north, and Quebec to the north. The state of New York is often referred to as New York State to distinguish it from New York City."

source: Wikipedia

"At night- the streets become rhythmical perspectives of glowing dotted lines, reflections hung upon them in the streets as the wistaria hangs its violet racemes on its trellis. The buildings are shimmering verticality, a gossamer veil, a festive scene-prop hanging there against the black sky to dazzle, entertain, amaze."
Frank Lloyd Wright

The Great State of Tennessee
***
"Tennessee has played a critical role in the development of rock and roll and early blues music. Beale Street in Memphis is considered by many to be the birthplace of the blues, with musicians such as W.C. Handy performing in its clubs as early as 1909.
Memphis was also home to Sun Records, where musicians such as Elvis Presley, Johnny Cash, Carl Perkins, Jerry Lee Lewis, Roy Orbison, and Charlie Rich began their recording careers, and where rock and roll took shape in the 1950s.
The 1927 Victor recording sessions in Bristol generally mark the beginning of the country music genre, and the rise of the Grand Ole Opry in the 1930s helped make Nashville the center of the country music recording industry."

The Great State of New Mexico
***
"New Mexico has five unique floristic zones, providing diverse sets of habitats for many plants and animals. The Llano Estacado (or Shortgrass Prairie) in the eastern part of the state is dominated by sod-forming short grasses such as blue grama, and it used to sustain bison. The Chihuahuan Desert extends through the south of the state and is dominated by shrubby creosote. The Colorado Plateau in the northwest corner of New Mexico is high desert with cold winters, and is characterized by sagebrush, shadescale, greasewood, and other plants adapted to the saline and seleniferous soil. The mountainous Mogollon Plateau in the west-central of the state and southern Rocky Mountains in the north-central, have a wide range in elevation (4,000 to 13,000 ft or 1,200 to 4,000 m), with vegetation types corresponding to elevation gradients, such as piñon-juniper woodlands near the base, through evergreen conifers, spruce-fir and aspen forests, Krummholz, and alpine tundra. The Apachian zone tucked into the southwestern bootheel of the state has high-calcium soil, oak woodlands, and Arizona cypress, and other plants that are not found in other parts of the state.

Some of the native wildlife includes black bears, bighorn sheep, bobcats, cougars, coyotes, deer, elk, jackrabbits, kangaroo rats, javelina, porcupines, pronghorn antelope, roadrunners, western diamondbacks, wild turkeys, and the endangered Mexican gray wolf and Rio Grande silvery minnow. "
