Charles Manson.

In Neil Young’s autobiography he had to admit he allowed Manson to audition and that he strung along with him briefly but it didn’t go anywhere. Luckily for Young.

Manson said he was a Sinatra fan.

He said that the Beatles were the music of “your children” (collective)

And Beach Boys. He co-opted Dennis Wilson’s house, and Dennis left. They reputedly co-wrote a song, before Dennis, not one to flinch from a fight, decided the man was scary, and fled.

Dennis rewrote “Cease to Exist” as “Never Learn Not to Love” and published it on the album, 20/20. Manson told him/them to remove his name from credit, because he/they changed the title and lyric.
