I meant if the owner simply refused to let the cops in and refused to surrender his firearms. Not if he started shooting. If the owner started shooting I think that makes him the aggressor and almost certainly in legal peril. If the owner simply refuses and the police use force then they become the aggressor and I believe would be committing multiple crimes. How does a judge issue a warrant to seize property when no crime has been committed, no probable cause exists and no evidence? How do the police justify use of force against a completely innocent person?

It's strange how that statement sounds so similar to "just following orders" doesn't it?
I think we need to know what has happened so far in states that already have these laws. Where are the legal battles? and why has the results of red flag actions been kept so quiet?
One thing in my mind is for certain. If we go down this road on a national level we have completely abandoned the constitution and all bets are off.
