Every gun...I've bot from a dealer...I've been asked to fill out out paperwork...and it was sent off to somewhere...and they confirmed I was okay, legal, a good citizen to own it.
They want a record of PRIVATE sales between family and friends, that is the whole fight!
That paperwork certifies you as sane.
But it’s you that does the certifying!
In some states people can sell one another guns privately without doing a background check. Families can sell or give guns to family members without a background check. This is what some folks are asking for is to have a universal background check to eliminate private sell, family transfer,sell, etc.
