Former Vice President Joe Biden claimed that “poor kids are just as bright and just as talented as white kids,” while addressing the Asian and Latino Coalition in Des Moines, Iowa on Thursday.
“We should challenge these students, we should challenge students in these schools to have advanced placement programs in these schools,” the former vice president said when discussing the need to improve America’s education system. “We have this notion that somehow if you’re poor you cannot do it, poor kids are just as bright and just as talented as white kids.”

Well, from what I’ve seen of his kids, any poor kids chosen at random would be brighter than his, and wouldn’t be any more likely to be drug addicts. Does slow Joe have any children who weren’t druggies?
And if you can’t educate ‘em, Joe, just have them apply @ 7-Eleven or Dunkin Donuts

We know they’re “as smart” — problem is, you can hand them all the education you want ...until they improve their ghetto culture, many (not all), but many refuse to take advantage of the opportunites they’ve been given. They also suffer teacher union type teachers, so they’re additionally likely bored or unchallenged by the instruction.
I just get sick of looking at people who HAVE FOR GENERATIONS, snubbed the opportunites given to them ....what stops them from behaving probably in school so they can learn? Why do they skip school? Why do they drop out? Why do they misbehave and mock their teachers? Why do they choose to screw around and not pay attention or to seek additional learning — we have the damn internet now ...these kids could head to the library and teach themselves with all the information we have available!!!
They just don’t WANT to do it and they’re also being raised in dysfunctional homes where no discipline is taught or caught. Doesn’t matter how many millions we pump into their decrepid schools and neighborhoods. To get educated is to “be like whitey.” They don’t want it. Being a bum is more fun. And this does not apply exclusively to blacks ....applies across all races in many different “neighborhoods.” Even whiteys don’t want to be “like whitey” or to be like an educated person. I see it everyday. IT’S LEARNED BEHAVIOR!!!!
Some do make it out, however. Why? Because they want to get out.
I wanted to get out 30 years ago. I’m white. I’m female. I didn’t want to stay in my environment ....so I worked my ass off. I got out — i was DRIVEN to find out how. Why is that?
I don’t think money can solve the issue of who is driven to achieve and who is not. But try telling that to democrats.

Poor kids are handicapped by their out of wedlock births and rarely catch up to those born into intact, real families.
Hundreds of studies have shown this even though the Left pretends it is not so. While not controversial, it is one of those subjects rarely addressed
Even when holding family status, income, parents educational levels and environmental factors constant, minority children do not achieve high intelligence as a rule.
IQ tests rank Jews first, East Asian second, white third, latino fourth and blacks fifth. Now it is true that Duke Ellington’s IQ likely underestimated his intelligence, his music showed him to be genius level.
