MSNBC host Donny Deutsch on Friday said supporters of President Trump "own the blood that happens," arguing that shaming swing voters with that message could help swing the 2020 election.
“I think that’s the message that’s got to get out there: 'You own it. You own the blood that happens. You own Charlottesville. You can’t do it. You get the whole package," Deutsch said on "Morning Joe."
"And that’s what swing voters have got to understand and be shamed into,” he added.
Deutsch, a marketing and branding expert, is a weekend host on MSNBC.
His comments come two weeks after he said Democrats should do "whatever we have to do" to remove Trump from office because the party is "at war" with the president.
"It is time for the Democrats to wake up. We are playing against cheaters and liars or stealers," he said.
"When they go low, we got to do whatever we have to do," Deutsch added. (me: The end justifies the means)
His Friday remarks came while discussing a fundraiser that billionaire Stephen Ross is scheduled to host on Friday for Trump in Southhampton, N.Y.
Ross, a longtime friend of Trump's, is the chairman of Related Companies, which owns a majority stake in Equinox and SoulCycle. News of the fundraiser led to calls for a boycott of the two high-end fitness facilities.
Ross said in a statement Thursday that he has known the president for decades and doesn't agree with him on everything.
“I have known Donald Trump for 40 years, and while we agree on some issues, we strongly disagree on many others and I have never been bashful about expressing my opinions,” Ross said.
The weekend of fundraisers is expected to bring in more than $10 million for Trump's 2020 campaign. Along with efforts from the Republican National Committee, his reelection campaign raised more than $100 million in the second quarter of 2019.

Trump supporters “own Charlottesville?” Interesting, considering the “Unite the Right” rally was peaceful until ANTIFA slithered in and started attacking the marchers.
I don’t see how this all ends well.
