The standard for an underage minor is that they cannot consent to sex with an adult; I don’t care what family member was with her. this is a per se crime, period.

I think the original poster is implying the parents at the least approved and maybe even financially benefitted from such an arrangement.

I never said her parents were with her.

You’re missing the point.

If the things she says happened, actually happened, you are absolutely correct that it’s a crime.

If her parents knew & allowed it, shouldn’t they be charged also? But Ms. Giuffre has never said this.

I’m saying I find it hard to believe a teenage girl was jet setting all over the world, & making it back home in time for dinner, continuing her high school activities & part time job, etc., & meanwhile her parents didnt seem to notice her absence.

There have been several high profile “fantasists” making headlines lately, by claiming to have been raped as children by famous men who kidnapped them & took them over the world.
And then they went back home & to school & no one was the wiser & their “repressed memories” were uncovered in “therapy.”
Fiona Barnett is one of these.
The details of their stories clearly dont add up & fall apart under rational scrutiny.

I’m questioning if Ms. Giuffre is a fantasist.

Ms. Giuffre has offered “evidence” of her rape claims in the form of one photograph of herself & Prince Andrew, smiling & fully clothed.

Think about that, next time anyone underage in ANY public place —country club, birthday party— asks to pose for a photo with you.

Will that kid later claim rape? And use that photo as proof you’re lying, when you say you never even met?

Supposedly lots of other photos were confiscated from Epstein’s townhouse. Those photos are possibly a treasure trove of real evidence.

We’ll see.

But so far Ms. Giuffre’s story has a few holes.

I remember reading one Supreme Court case that frowned on absolutes. Don’t ask me the name. It was in a red colored casebook printed about 30 years ago.

Sex with 18-year old - OK
Sex with 17 year and 11 month girl - real bad

Epstein doesn’t lack for money to pay lawyers.

Prosecutors could expect an offer of 1 day in jail for each day underage.
