Senate Dems deliver stunning warning to Supreme Court: ‘Heal’ or face restructuring

Several high-profile Senate Democrats warned the Supreme Court in pointed terms this week that it could face a fundamental restructuring if justices do not take steps to "heal" the court in the near future.

The ominous and unusual warning was delivered as part of a brief filed Monday in a case related to a New York City gun law. Sens. Sheldon Whitehouse, D-R.I., Richard Blumenthal, D-Conn., Mazie Hirono, D-Hawaii, Richard Durbin, D-Ill., and Kirsten Gillibrand, D-N.Y., referenced rulings by the court's conservative majority in claiming it is suffering from some sort of affliction which must be remedied.

"The Supreme Court is not well. And the people know it," the brief said. "Perhaps the Court can heal itself before the public demands it be 'restructured in order to reduce the influence of politics.'"

The last part was quoting language from a Quinnipiac University poll, in which 51 percent favored such restructuring. In the same poll, 55 percent believed the Supreme Court was "motivated by politics" more than by the law.

Dramatic changes to the Supreme Court have been proposed by several Democrats vying for their party's 2020 presidential nomination, with "court-packing" being a common -- though highly controversial -- suggestion. Increasing the number of justices on the court would allow the president to shift the balance on the bench by loading up justices of his or her preference.

The Democrats have went from covert to overt.

The Democrats are still working overtly and openly on removing President Trump from Office. And if he allows them to work on it long enough they will succeed. The list of individuals working on illegally removing him from Office runs into the double if not triple digits. The felony crimes committed by them in their quest to illegally unseat President run into the thousands. Yet, not a single one of them has been indicted, let alone prosecuted. The question is why not. I think Sessions recused himself and since Barr has assumed the top slot the response has been within the next 3 weeks[that was considerably longer that three weeks ago] next week [around several weeks ago] The latest: Comey left a trap for Barr to fall into and Barr cleverly avoided falling into that trap. And how he avoided not falling into that trap? By not prosecuting Comey. See how the Washington, D.C. Elites protect each other.Meanwhile, the plan, some would call it a coup, to dispose of President Trump proceeds full speed ahead, never missing a beat.

My answer to that is that liberals would be just fine of all the Justices being liberal and conservatives having zero representation. When all the decisions go their way the very last thing they’ll say to themselves is, “is this fair and just?”.

Leftists require complete and utter control of everything all the time and are willing to attain it by any means necessary because the end justifies the means.

Meanwhile, left media statistic guy Nate Silver conclusively shows that there are now THREE “sing” justices - all appointed by Republicans. And I’ll point out that Justices Kennedy and O’Connor were recent prior swing votes, and both appointed by Republicans. There are never Democratic appointed swing justices, they are all rabid idealogues.

Curious as the Democrat party operates strictly in their own party interests, their constituents be damned what would happen should their constituency sue for representation? Of course it won’t happen, but just a thought.

As the entire electorate Democrat, Republican, or other is impacted (cop out word to avoid unnecessary discussion) I wonder if there could be a lawsuit against a Democrat Party that is not operating in the interests of our constitution, which is the basis of our existence? My thinking being the Democrats got license under our constitution, and over the years have become an anti-constitutional political entity. I know it’s mostly going to end with a pile of split hairs, but again, just a thought.

Why the court was to set up (structure-wise) in the Constitution is beyond me. I wonder how hard it would be to get that codified.

To have the public believe that the Court’s pattern of outcomes is the stuff of chance (or “the requirements of the law,” Obergefell, 135 S. Ct. at 2612 (Roberts, C.J., dissenting)) is to treat the “intelligent man on the street,” Gill v. Whitford, No. 16-1161, Oral Arg. Tr. at 37:18-38:11 (Oct. 3, 2017), as a fool.

The Supreme Court is not well. And the people know it. Perhaps the Court can heal itself before the public demands it be “restructured in order to reduce the influence of politics.” Particularly on the urgent issue of gun control, a nation desperately needs it to heal.

CONCLUSION

For the foregoing reasons, the Court should vacate and remand with instructions to dismiss.

Just try to imagine the reaction if Mitch McConnell had said this exact same thing, or gasp, if Trump had said this. The outrage would have been insane.

Indeed, the Democrats are getting brazen. They organized a coup and nary a peep of concern from the corrupt MSM. Compare to Watergate that Democrats still bemoan 50 years later. We are in dangerous times, and that is not hyperbole.

Sorry guys, don’t bite. They want to stir up people, and they probably will. Attacking all whites - except, obviously, for the mostly white male Dem elites who are leading the charge - is sooner or later going to have a backlash. How much can people stand, being attacked simply because they were born of European descent? This, by the way, includes a lot of “Hispanics,” who are of European descent or conservative and therefore considered not truly Hispanic, just as conservative blacks are not considered truly black. So the left is trying to provoke something.

Just don’t bite, because the left actually has all the guns (the military, the police forces, etc.). This time around, if Trump is the candidate, we can win this by voting and insisting on adherence to the Constitution.

If he doesn’t win, I honestly don’t know what’s going to happen, because the left is getting more and more aggressive.
