Our rural small town high school football team here in rural California typically drives hundreds of miles to play at another high school. Sometimes 6 hours or more on the bus.
Just for the record, Google maps says 652 miles .... about 9 and 1/2 hours by car. Add a couple more hours by bus.
And it’s still almost 200 miles from Plano to Louisiana!
Things are bigger in Texas!
