I've been predicting this strategy for Bidn, which essentially mimics Hillary's strategy of limited appearances (though in her case the limits were due to her shrillness and unlikeableness, rather than continuous verbal stumbles)...

I don’t see why they don’t just sew his mouth shut.

The only way Biden can win the nomination is if he shuts up and lets his name recognition do all the running.

I think that is stupid, does more harm than good.
He needs to be out there competing with the other candidates.
A helpful suggestion:
He or people on his staff need to write out his speeches in advance, then have him read it, not make any other statements or off-the-cuff remarks.
To: catnipman
Really? Whats the next great advice for him? Applying duct tape over his mouth?

If, God forbid, he ever became President, would they scale back his duties, also? Say, Crazy Joe will be President on Mondays, Wednesdays and Saturdays? The rest of the time, who knows?

Other than pulling Biden from public view, I can think of only two solutions: lots of practice and a ketogenic diet.
Some, though not all, brains sharpen up considerable when running on ketones.
It works in my case. I cannot think clearly with carbs (i.e. sugar) floating around in my blood.
To: catnipman
Hey, look at how that worked out for Hillary.

Meanwhile the contrast:
Our great and wonderful president Donald J Trump continues to just go out and fill stadiums to capacity and speak off-the-cuff eloquently with style with no Teleprompter for about an hour and then stick around and take pictures with everybody
There is simply no other human being on planet earth like our great and wonderful president Donald J Trump
There is no one else on the planet who has the oratory skill the businessman skill and the love for America that this man clearly has
And more than that its very clear that he loves and cares about people - all kinds of people - all races
So lets count our blessings - we are living in a very special era - and were only going to have this great guy for another five years at most!
Just for a minute try to imagine America under Jeb bush or Ted Cruz has a contrast

Joe Biden, the best candidate the democrats can field, can’t handle a work day as long as mine - and I’m retired. That’s just sad.
