Lots of thievery going on toward America including intellectual theft. There is less unemployment under Trump then forever. The jobs will move for imports to the rest of the Pacific rim. ‘Why back Marxist China?’ Should be your question

The best deal on TV’s that I know of is to order a Sceptre from the Walmart website and have it delivered or pick it up. You can’t get them in the store. I have 2 and bought my son a 32” for $79. https://www.sceptre.com/profiles.html

Not saying it is, just pointing out that immediately chopping off all Chinese imports would be crippling us for no good reason until we can reindustrialize - which can’t and won’t happen overnight. We can and should start on this now, and we should impose tariffs, but just chopping off all imports is stupid and shortsighted.

There’s little or no wage growth under Trump as well. I see no benefit to American citizens for manufacturing transfers from China to Thailand. It would be a dubious proposition to intimate that Thailand is less ethically and morally depraved as China. Thailand is where you go for totally unhinged drug abuse and sex change operations.

Sounds a bit low to me.

Here is a BMW 2018 G 310 R at our local dealer for $4,995

The 2019 model is going to be more. If you want one, now's the time.

Harley has made a lot of innovative, outside-the-box bikes. I was shopping for a Buell Ulysses when HD scrapped the entire Buell line. Big mistake.

Then, I was shopping for a V-Rod muscle, and HD scrapped that entire line.

Then, I was shopping for a Dyna Low Rider S and, you guessed it, HD scrapped the entire Dyna series.

My current ride is a 2015 Triumph Tiger Explorer XC triple that I purchased new in 2016. So far it's been a great bike.

And every time I think about a Harley, I go over to the HD forum and read about the issues with their bikes and how HD refuses to either address or fix their mistakes.

They've got some new stuff coming out that they think will sell. Like, the Livewire, the electric bike that will sell for >$30,000 dollars. I hope they don't expect too much out of that one. On the road, you'll have to charge it at a HD store, and the charge takes 2 to 3 hours. Would you wait 3 hours to fill up your car? Me neither.

Ok. I don’t know. My brother has worked in China and Taiwan. Taiwan is clean and ahead of China in so many ways…culturally.

China is filthy with unscrubbed coal fire plants making it impossible to go out without respiratory masks.

China is communist. What other reason would a FReeper want? They are out to OWN us. Eff them.

Bush 41, Clinton-—big time with rocket engine technology, Bush 43 and Obama, all looked the other way while petting the dragon when they should have confronted the dragon after Tiananmen Square slaughter.

Until Clinton their rockets were crap. Thanks to him we are going to fight a war with them at some point in this century.

In the 3+ years I lived there, and the multiple trips I've made there since, I never once did drugs or had my sex changed.

"I was one week to late landing a job at the new GM plant in Rayong, Thailand. They needed a director/trainer for their emergency response team. The HR manager told me the position was filled one week before, but I would have been selected if he'd had my resume. Oh well. Another missed opportunity. Life is full of them. "

Bummer, if that's what you wanted to do. Rayong and that area has a lot of industry. Nonetheless, our family once spent a few days on a beach at a little place not too far off. Very cheap and laid back. I'm sure it's developed tremendously since then. That was a dozen years ago, or more.

Triumph has a motorcycle plant in Thailand. Not just for local consumption. They apparently make or assemble some models and parts there, but mix it up with stuff made in England. Sometimes they switch production of certain stuff. It seems that management is really on the ball. Their plant is in some sort of trade zone area around Rayong or that neck of the woods.
