Jon Meacham got one thing right. On Thursday's Morning Joe, he said that the heads of any conservatives listening to him would blow up over their Wheaties. What was Meacham's remark that was so explosive for any right-thinking listener? His prediction that someday, we'll look back and realize that Al Gore was . . . "a prophetic voice" about the environment.
Meacham glorified Gore in the context of commenting on the withdrawal from the presidential race of Jay Inslee. Inslee's campaign was focused entirely on impending environmental doom.

Well I guess it’s over. It was over 20 years ago that Gore gave us 12 years to act or nothing could be done. So it’s over.
Algore wasn’t wrong: we just need to rest Rush’s Doomsday Clock by about 30 years!
Ping to Liberal Media Criticism list.
The prophetic voice of a crazed sex poodle.
Algore is the antiCassandra.
All his prophesies are false yet many people continue believing him.
They used to stone prophets who got it wrong! Just sayin!!!
Literally every single Global Warming prediction has turned out wrong.
Yet no one is allowed to challenge these predictions. No one is allowed to question the data. Any panel discussion on the topic will consist of believers only. Deniers are automatically excluded.
You want to challenge Relativity or Quantum Mechanics? Well, go right ahead. For example, even today scientists are testing Einsteins theories on the speed of light. And those scientists are allowed to present their findings.
But Global Warming is settled science, now and forever. In that respect we have returned to the Dark Ages, a time when anyone who doubted a traditional idea was shunned, or worse.
Did he mean to say pathetic instead?
Green is the new Red (Communist Red-the solution to GW is always surrender to an all powerful tyrannical goverment exercising absolute control over people).
I thought John Meacham died several years ago.
Yawn...
Oh well.
Jon is a moron: AL GORE SAYS 10 YEARS ARE LEFT IN 2006
In 2006, while promoting his movie An Inconvenient Truth, Al Gore said that humanity had only 10 years left before the world would reach a point of no return.
Yep, he was way off, we still have 12 years.
> the solution to GW is always surrender to an all powerful tyrannical government <
Agreed. And thats something that the casual, part-time Greens dont really understand. In some respects they are like the idealistic Russian communists who backed Stalin. Once Stalin took power, many of his backers ended up in the Gulag, or shot.

A prophet because he pointed out the planet was warming during the end of an inter glacial ? Seems more like another captain obvious moment. Let’s see how well Al predicted the winter of 2019/2020.
